Highly recommend! Just shot an audition on a Sunday morning – was easy to book online that day and received a confirmation right away. Steve is a great actor, so you’ve got your reader covered and the tape looks great – very professional. He is also very willing to offer coaching, should you want it. 🙂 He has now added a monitor, so you can watch your last take right from your seat! Turnaround time is also super quick. There is parking onsite and he has everything you need to do “last looks” to make sure you are ready to go. He also just seems to be a really nice individual, and every time I’ve gone there, we are usually smiling and laughing our way thru the process. He is my “go to guy” on the westside (and the weekends!)

I usually tape my own or see another person to coach/tape but as I had a huge series reg audition on a big soap opera and I needed better quality and bonus training from someone who knows the show and the soap world and I spent all night finding a place and was amazed to find Steve as he worked on the show I’m auditioning for and had great quality and even better affordable prices! I lost a little confidence with my abilities as I had never done a monologue in awhile and he gave me confidence to do it without using a teleprompter as most of the lines was a monologue. We did an hour coaching and he helped me nail a lot of things I had missed! Then the taping went incredibly well! I accidentally ran over by 10 or 15mins I think but Steve wanted me to make sure I walked out with what I needed and didn’t charge extra plus he just gave the footage and let me edit it myself, which was better for me as I had my own title. Will definitely use Steve again and recommend!

Self Tape Service is a lifesaver! I’ve come here a few times to put last minute auditions on tape. Right away Stephen made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He’s a friendly down to earth family guy that just gets it as he’s an actor as well. The whole setup is so thought out so that you can prepare and do touch ups on makeup and hair if need be. Also love that he put a TV on the other side of the camera so that you can quickly see how your last take looked. He also edited the footage and even renamed the file to exactly what the casting directors wanted. The website is super user friendly so that you can book a time in with no hassle. It’s imperative to commit to several daily activities that keep us connected to our creative selves. Instead of having some abstract idea about what you should be doing, make an actual game plan. Be certain it’s specific and goal oriented. There’s no correct way other than the way of consistency. We don’t need to wait for the film industry to call on us before we can feel like actors. The work we do on a daily basis is what makes us actors. All we have is our work and no one can ever take that away from us. We shouldn’t allow something that we’re deeply passionate about become so unimportant that we can’t give it at least thirty minutes a day. I’ve always loved a classroom environment for that reason. I started training when I was eighteen and unless I’m working on a project regularly, I’ve been committed to some type of class or workshop environment. Surrounding myself with like­minded actors that support and relate to the process of acting has been the absolute joy and key ingredient to my longevity on this path. Actors with lasting careers feed themselves creatively on a daily basis. Maintaining a creative life style supports all the crafting we’ve all done through the years and ensures us it will be there for us when we’re acting.”
