What's better than one great location? 2 great locations! I've been going to Self Tape Service for almost one year. They've recently gotten so busy that their schedule is 100% booked solid on certain days. This second location will allow me to schedule times for my self-tape that meet my schedule requirements/preference. As always, the tape quality here is the best in Los Angeles. Bottom line, the industry is gravitating more toward self-tape auditions and as actors, either we adapt or die. We can't always tape at home so professional services are key. Steve also provides coaching and taping all in one session, that's an added value. I'll sometimes use this location as a place to put myself on tape BEFORE I go to the actual audition.

  Steve is AMAZING, he is friendly and super welcoming, I called super last minute and he was able to fit me in and hep me with my self tape, The guy is awesome definitely recommend!!!! Oh and There's parking in the back !!!

  I had 3 scenes to be ready in 48 hrs and Steve was amazing as we were down to the minute to get it in. Not only is Steve a great actor to work with but the space was comforting and inviting. Thank you again Steve.

  Excellent service. Efficient, professional and fun! Steve is very warm and kind and is an actor himself, so I felt at ease right away because he gets the process. He's very knowledgeable with current self tape/casting protocol. He helped pick my best takes, coached me (but not too much unless I asked), and even had the props I needed. By the time I got home, I had a nicely edited link with my takes and slate ready to upload. The next day my manager told me my tape got sent to producers! Big win! Thank you, Steve! I'll be back for the next one!

  THE. BEST. Steve fit me in last minute and I'm so grateful because after doing my research this is the only place I really wanted to go. It's SO helpful to have an experienced actor reading opposite you. He gives awesome direction that definitely helps the scene but also makes sure to help you keep your choices and your "you" factor. The whole vibe is professional but relaxed which helps you shake nerves and just have fun. Great lighting, quality looking tapes, makes sure you like the product you're getting every step of the way. And a super cute waiting area as a bonus (even though I didn't even have to wait). I will definitely go here for alllll my self tapes from now on!

  The best self tape facility and Steve Richard Harris is an amazing coach, actor and Director. It has been an honor to work with him so many times. I highly recommend going here for your self tape auditions. I'm sure it has helped me book many acting jobs.

  There is only one person who I trust when it comes to getting a professional tape done for an important audition and that is Steve. He is a great actor, coach and knows how to adjust to the different needs for the different scenes and characters you bring him. The lighting and background make you look great and he is a good reader who makes it about you. He is personally invested in your success and has an eye for what works. You will walk away every time feeling good about trusting him to help you execute important auditions you bring to him.

Easy online reservations. Plus, the turnaround time for the final product is fast! What more could you ask for?

  Scott is really great. Far better than his competition. he's professional, engaging, has great comments and terrific energy. the studio is well air conditioned and looks really good. The teleprompter is very helpful and others don't offer that. Highly recommended.

  Stumbled upon Steve's studio out of necessity- one of those urgent self-tapes due in 2 hour situations while I was already out in West LA for another fitting. Talk about luck...

This place checks every single box- great lighting and incredible camera set up (tapes look incredibly professional), flexible availability, and most importantly a talented reader who is an accomplished actor himself. The importance of a good reader was something I always neglected, but after working with Steve, I can see and hear the difference. He knows how to read for your tapes since he's been there before.

First self-tape I worked on with Steve, I booked. I just got out of his studio after working on two more auditions. Hoping to go 3 for 3 with the help of the master!

  This spot is phenomenal. Steve is amazing -- he coaches you a bit as you shoot which makes the experience incredibly fun. He's in it! The best equipment, super fast turnaround, sound was perfect, lighting was perfect. I am memorizing something new just so I can return. Highly recommend.

  It was my first time at self tape studios 2 and it was just what I expected. I've been to the regular studio plenty of times but it was all booked up so I went to studio 2, The lighting is exactly the same and the coaching was awesome as well. And the customer service was great as always. Great vibe!
